University Professor and Director of the Sustainable Tourism Department of the University of Almeria and Dean of the Faculty of Economics and Business Administration of the University of Almeria from 2016-2021.

He is the author of numerous publications related to the tourism sector in prestigious national and international journals. He has taught in the studies of Tourism in Spanish and foreign universities, as well as participated or led various initiatives to promote knowledge transfer and collaboration of the University with entities related to Tourism.

Since 2021 he is responsible for the Sustainable Tourism Department of the University of Almeria, where research, training and knowledge transfer activities on sustainable tourism are developed. Among them the construction and design (in collaboration with other Andalusian Tourism Departments) of a data science platform on multiple aspects of tourism supply and demand; The creation and dissemination of a catalog of researchers and teachers in tourism in Andalusia (the basis for configuring a space for the generation and dissemination of knowledge), the creation of a Forum for the exchange of sustainable tourism initiatives and practices in Andalusia or a project of collaboration with tourism professionals in the co-direction of final projects, as well as organizing training activities to promote entrepreneurship and sustainability of tourism in Andalusia.
