AMT tourism municipalities participate in Sun&Blue Congress to share their experience in digitization and sustainability

The Alianza de Municipios Turísticos Sol y Playa de España (AMT) will participate in the international congress SUN&BLUE Blue Tourism Innovation Summit, to be held in Almeria on November 19 and 20, 2025. AMT municipalities will share their experience and knowledge on issues related to responsible tourism development, sustainable destination management, blue tourism and the implementation of innovative practices that favor both the sector and local communities.

In addition, the AMT has signed an agreement with beon. Worldwide, promoter and organizer of this event of reference in innovation and sustainability in the tourism industry, to contribute to its promotion and dissemination.

The mayor of Lloret de Mar, Adrià Lamelas, emphasizes that “this agreement reinforces our commitment to innovation and sustainability in sun and beach tourism. SUN&BLUE Congress is a key event for the sector, and from the AMT we want to contribute our experience and leadership in the transformation of tourist destinations towards more sustainable and digitized models”.

For her part, the representative of beon. Worldwilde, Marta Raspall, highlights that “the Alliance of Sun and Beach Tourism Municipalities represents some of the most important destinations in Spain. Their participation in the congress is fundamental to enrich the debate on the future of tourism and encourage the exchange of best practices”.

A current vision on the importance of public-private collaboration

At the SUN&BLUE Blue Tourism Innovation Summit, AMT municipalities will offer content and perspectives on the importance of fostering sustainability and digitization in tourism destinations, based on the best practices they already implement in their territories.

They will also contribute with their experience in adapting tourism infrastructures to current challenges, the promotion of inclusive tourism models and public-private collaboration for the development of projects that enhance social and environmental well-being.

The SUN&BLUE Blue Tourism Innovation Summit is an international conference of reference in the field of blue tourism, focused on innovation, sustainability and digitization of the sector. Held in Almeria, it brings together experts, institutions and companies to discuss the challenges and opportunities of coastal and maritime tourism, promoting strategies that balance economic development with the protection of the natural environment.
