Raquel Paiz
Head of Communication and Strategy, StepbyWater Alliance
Raquel Paiz Robles is a journalist and strategic consultant in communication, sustainability, and public affairs, with over 25 years of experience in corporate communication, social responsibility, sustainable development, and positive impact. She has developed much of her career in financial and cultural institutions such as CajaGRANADA, CajaGRANADA Fundación, and BMN. Since 2018, she has worked as a consultant, supporting companies, public administrations, and foundations in designing communication strategies, sustainability initiatives, regenerative leadership, and public affairs.
Currently, she is Head of Communication, Strategy, and Public Affairs at StepbyWater, an international alliance recognized for its multisectoral and multistakeholder approach, bringing together organizations from all sectors around a common goal: sustainable water management and resilience to climate change and water stress. In this role, she coordinates high-impact projects such as En nuestras manos, developed with the artist SAYPE, which was a finalist at the Go!ODS Awards of the UN Global Compact and the Rafael del Pino Foundation, and awarded Silver at the Ibero-American El Sol Awards. She also acts as a moderator in panel discussions with European Parliament representatives and municipal leaders, positioning StepbyWater as a reference in water innovation and territorial sustainability.
Raquel is a speaker at specialized forums on the 2030 Agenda, sustainability, strategic communication, and responsible leadership. She also moderates high-level debates and forums, bringing her communication expertise and sustainability vision to foster constructive and truly transformative dialogues. Her expertise is grounded in a pioneering career in corporate social responsibility, a field she has been involved in since 2005, when it was just emerging in Spain.
She is a member of the Advisory Board of the UNESCO Chair on Environment and Sustainable Development at the University of Granada, teaches in training programs at institutions such as the Diputación de Granada and the University of Jaén, and is a regular contributor to various media outlets.
With a well-established career and a strategic approach, Raquel Paiz contributes to building alliances and narratives that strengthen commitment to a more sustainable and resilient future.
