Noelia Arroyo
Mayor of Cartagena
She holds a degree in Audiovisual Communication from Universidad Católica San Antonio de Murcia (UCAM) and completed a postgraduate programme in collaboration with Radio Nacional de España and Universidad Complutense de Madrid.
Arroyo worked in journalism as a presenter, editor and director across RNE, Radio Intereconomía, Punto Radio and the multimedia division of the newspaper La Verdad from 2004 to 2012.
Her political career includes service as Regional Minister of Culture and government spokesperson in the Region of Murcia. She became Mayor of Cartagena in 2021 and was re-elected in 2023 for the 2023-2027 term.
Her agenda as mayor focuses on public-service modernization, sustainable urban development and the renewal of Cartagena’s cultural and tourism potential.
