Senior researcher in the Natural and Forest Resources Department at the Andalusian Institute for Agricultural and Fisheries Research and Training (IFAPA)
PhD in Chemistry from the Autonomous University of Madrid; Master's Degree in Fertilization and Environment (Autonomous University of Madrid).
Research activity: Nutrition and nutritional diagnosis of horticultural crops and techniques for the treatment and agricultural valorization of agricultural by-products.
Scientific activity: 53 projects (research, transfer, and contracts/agreements with companies), 250 publications including scientific articles, author-coauthor books, and conference contributions. Teaching activity in postgraduate programs (University of Almería and Autonomous University of Madrid).
Contribution to technological innovation: 14 technological and institutional transfer projects. Author of more than 200 technical articles, director of technical reports at the request of companies. Extensive teaching activity aimed at technical specialists and non-university personnel (IFAPA/public and private organizations).
