Denis Grasso
Coordinator project PortCREW
Denis Grasso is a researcher at the Institute for Energy and Environmental Economics and Policy (IEFE) at Bocconi University, where he works in the fields of energy, logistics, and sustainability. He holds a degree in Environmental Planning and Policy from IUAV University of Venice, received the First Prize of the Franco Tinti Competition 2010 from the National Institute of Urban Planning (INU), and completed the RIDEF Energia per Kyoto master’s program, specializing in renewable energy and energy efficiency. Since 2013, he has conducted research on Smart Cities, climate change, and sustainable mobility, participating in European projects and forums on environmental innovation. He currently coordinates the PortCREW Project (Interreg MED), which aims to promote smart and sustainable ecotourism in Mediterranean cruise ports by increasing the tourism value of natural areas and lesser-known inland events. The project develops a digital platform to support port managers and public authorities in creating local and sustainable tourism packages, enhancing the connection between cruise activities and the territories that host them.
