Consolación Vera

Deputy Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries, Water and Rural Development

Consolación Vera Sánchez (Seville, 1967) serves as Deputy Minister for Agriculture, Fisheries, Water and Rural Development in the Junta de Andalucía. She holds a Law degree from the University of Seville and an Executive Diploma in Business Management from Instituto Internacional San Telmo. Her early career included legal advisory roles and sub-inspector work at the Spanish Tax Agency in Madrid.

She developed most of her professional trajectory at the Guadalquivir River Authority (Confederación Hidrográfica del Guadalquivir, CHG) in Seville, holding senior positions in technical management, legal and patrimonial oversight, and user regulation. Later, she served as Director General of Direct Aid and Markets and Secretary General of Agriculture, Livestock and Food. Appointed Deputy Minister in 2023, she now plays a central role in shaping strategic policies in agriculture, fisheries, water and rural development for Andalusia.
