Alicia Mateos
President of Fundación Genera ITM
Alicia Mateos is a strategist with a strong ability to build bridges between communities, organizations, government, and the private sector. With a degree in Public Administration and Political Science and a Master’s in Public Policy, she has dedicated over two decades to promoting transparency, accountability, and sustainability — always with a focus on multisectoral collaboration.
Her experience includes serving as Director of Communications at the Federal Electoral Tribunal and the Office of the Presidency of Mexico, as well as coordinating strategies for institutions such as FONATUR Cancún. She also led the organization Ciudadanos por la Transparencia, where she promoted initiatives to combat corruption and prevent community violence.
At ITM Group, Alicia heads the area of Sustainability and Open Enterprise, ensuring that each of the group’s projects aligns with international sustainability standards. As President and Co-founder of Fundación Genera ITM, she leads initiatives that bring together communities, organizations, and governments around common goals: sustainable tourism, ocean protection, and human rights. Her leadership is defined by an integrative vision that turns dialogue and consensus into engines of change.
