He holds a degree in Law and Economics from the Carlos III University of Madrid and is a member of the Senior Corps of Civil Administrators of the State.

After a brief period at the Competition Defense Service (Spanish Ministry of Economy), he developed an important part of his career at the Spanish Tourism Institute (Turespaña) as Head of Markets Area (responsible for market intelligence), Head of Production and Distribution Area (responsible for the elaboration of editorial and audiovisual materials, corporate identity, analysis of the Spanish tourism brand and protection of the Spanish tourism brand, of corporate identity, analysis of the Spain tourism brand and its protection), Deputy Assistant Director General for Promotion and Marketing Support (responsible for the advertising campaign and preparation of the Strategic Marketing Plan) and Assistant Director General for Tourism Marketing Abroad. He was subsequently appointed Director of the Spanish Tourism Office in Brussels.

In 2017 he became part of the team of the General Director of Communication and Diplomatic Information of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, European Union and Cooperation. He has also been Deputy General Director of Coordination and Institutional Relations at the Secretary of State for Universities and R+D+i of the Ministry of Science, Innovation and Universities; and Manager of the Institute for Just Transition, a body under the Ministry for Ecological Transition and the Demographic Challenge.

In the summer of 2021 he rejoined Turespaña where he currently holds the position of Deputy Director General of Strategy and Services to the Tourism Sector.
