Marta Pontes
Councillor for Economic Activities, Tourism, Internationalisation and Civil Protection of Matosinhos City Council
Graduated in Psychology from the University of Porto, with executive training in the field of SME (Small and Medium Enterprises) management and Sustainable Management from Porto Business School. Worked in clinical roles in the area of substance abuse at former CAT (Consultation and Support Centers) and for approximately 5 years at the Association for Integrated Development of Matosinhos, where she also took on responsibilities in training, coordination, and project management.
Served as a lecturer for the Psychology course in the Clinical Secretariat degree program at CESPU. Over 7 years, was involved in the promotion of Local Economy and Tourism at the Matosinhos City Council, playing a key role in the creation of projects supporting entrepreneurship, investment attraction, and the promotion of local markets and commerce. In the last 4 years, held a coordination role as Chief of Staff to the Presidency. Since October 2021, has taken on the role of councilwoman overseeing economic activities, tourism, internationalization, and civil protection.
