Ignacio is a distinguished international expert in sustainable tourism, with exceptional experience in luxury hospitality, destination marketing, vocational training, e-learning, the application of circular economy principles in tourism, international cooperation, as well as digitalization and innovation.

Over the past two decades, Ignacio has gained extensive experience across all five continents. His inquisitive and curious personality has led him to be involved in a wide variety of international projects, both in the public and private sectors.

His communication skills and interest in interculturality have enabled him to serve as a master of ceremonies, speaker at international forums, moderator, coach, and trainer at events related to digitalization, sustainability, and circularity within the tourism industry.

Ignacio has a strong academic background with a Diploma in Tourism Management from URV, as well as a Master’s and a PhD in Development Studies from IUED and IHEID (University of Geneva, Switzerland), respectively.

Additionally, Ignacio is a certified trainer by the Global Sustainable Tourism Council (GSTC), and he is part of the faculty of the first Bachelor’s in International Sustainable Tourism (jointly developed by UNTourism and the University of Applied Sciences and Arts of Lucerne). Recently, he was selected as one of the experts to join the Sustainable Tourism Technical Group of WestMED.
