Antonio Urdiales Matilla
Councillor for Environmental and Energy Sustainability in Almeria City Council
Environmentalist from the University of Almeria. Master in Environmental Engineering from the School of Industrial Organisation and Master in Operations and Services Management from ESADE Business School.
He started working in the company SOLUZIONA, as a Sustainability consultant, although he has developed most of his professional career in the company COSENTINO, where he has held various functions. In 2023 he received the call from the Mayoress of Almería, María del Mar Vázquez, to take on a new challenge and become part of the Municipal Corporation, and is currently Councillor of the Environmental and Energy Sustainability Area of the City Council of Almería. His duties include the implementation and development of new circular economy and energy policies in the municipality.
He is also a founding member of the Professional Association of Environmental Sciences (COAMBA) and is currently the provincial representative of this association in Almería.
He loves nature and enjoying it with his family. He is from Malaga by birth and from Almeria by ‘adoption’.
