Javier Aureliano

President of the Provincial Council of Almería

Javier Aureliano García Molina (Balanegra, Almería, December 31, 1976) is a Spanish politician with a career focused on local and provincial governance. He holds a degree in Law and has also pursued studies in Agricultural Technical Engineering. García has been involved in politics from an early age, serving as a councilor for the Almería City Council since 2003 and as First Vice President of the Provincial Council of Almería between 2011 and 2019.

On January 1, 2019, he was appointed President of the Provincial Council of Almería, a position he continues to hold.
Under his leadership, the institution has promoted initiatives aimed at territorial cohesion, rural development, heritage recovery, and economic innovation.

In addition to his institutional role, García holds important positions within his party, serving as the National Secretary for Provincial Policy of the People’s Party (PP) and President of the PP in Almería since 2021.
His leadership has established him as a key figure in Andalusian provincial politics, focused on structural transformation, modernization of local administration, and the promotion of Almería’s talent and resources.
