We organized a cleaning day at El Toyo beach together with Fundación Ecomar

On November 14, from 14:30 to 18:30 hours, a cleaning day will be held at El Toyo beach. This awareness and action activity is organized by Sun&Blue Congress and Ecomar Foundation, on the occasion of the international congress of Tourism and Blue Economy to be held at the Exhibition and Congress Palace 'Cabo de Gata - City of Almeria' from 15 to 17 November. Its objective is to raise awareness, educate and promote among the people of Almeria the need to care for the environment and protect biodiversity.

The meeting point for the day will be the Barceló Cabo de Gata hotel, at 14:30 hours, where the volunteers will be welcomed and the working groups will be organized. The beach clean-up will take place until 18:00 hours, ending the initiative with a brief meeting with Theresa Zabell, founder and president of the Ecomar Foundation, as well as ambassador of the Sun&Blue Congress.

Citizens wishing to participate in this beach clean-up day should register at https://bit.ly/sunandblue. A hundred volunteers are expected to participate.

The Ecomar Foundation has been thinking blue since 1999, taking care of the sea. Its main objective is to invest in actions and programs to create a positive and relevant social impact on the environment. Every year they carry out more than 300 beach clean-up days, in different parts of Spain, with more than 30 tons of waste collected.
