Sun&Blue Congress, the first international congress on tourism and the blue economy, has confirmed the dates of its third edition, which will take place on November 19 and 20, 2025 at the Palacio de Exposiciones y Congresos 'Cabo de Gata - Ciudad de Almería', the venue that hosted the previous two editions.
For this new edition, the congress will evolve towards a more specialized and strategic format, according to Tim Ott, General Manager of Sun&Blue Congress and beon. Worldwide, the event's promoter and organizer. "The Congress has gained relevance and consolidation in the industry, so now is the time to move forward with a deeper focus, highly specialized sessions and actionable solutions," he said.
The Sun&Blue 2025 program will revolve around three main axes/tracks: tourism, water and energy, integrating cross-cutting aspects such as financing, technology, circular economy, digitalization and ports. This approach aims to offer content that is better adapted to the real needs of the sector and to consolidate the event as a reference space for action and knowledge exchange.
Networking and international expansion: the keys to the 2025 edition
One of the strategic pillars of the congress will be networking, with the aim of fostering more extensive and effective interaction between innovative companies, national and international institutions, speakers, experts and investors. "We want the connections between professionals to be tangible and generate real business opportunities," stressed Ott.
Likewise, the organization has set itself the goal of expanding its international scope, aiming to have 40 countries represented, up from 33 in the 2024 edition. "The participation of top European institutions, more than a dozen high-level international speakers, working groups of international blue innovation projects and foreign companies that will come to showcase their innovations in the different levels of the Congress is already committed," advanced the director of Sun&Blue Congress.
The program will be developed through keynote speakers, panel discussions and side events, ensuring a dynamic and high-level content offering.
In the social area, initiatives such as the Blue Welcome Party and the Sun&Blue Awards, also celebrating their third edition, will continue.
Technical visits: a new feature of the third edition
As a novelty, one day before and one day after the congress, technical visits will be organized to innovative companies in Almeria and to places of interest related to the thematic and transversal axes of the event. These visits or business experiences will allow participants to learn first-hand about success stories, technological innovations and sustainable projects in the sector.
With these advances, the Sun&Blue Congress 2025 is becoming a key event at the intersection of tourism, sustainability and economic development, consolidating its role as an international reference forum in the Blue Economy.
