Natalia Ortiz
Head of Tourism at UNE (Asociación Española de Normalización)
With a degree in Economic Law and a diploma in Tourism, she has been working for 16 years in the development of voluntary UNE and ISO standards in the services sector, with a particular focus on the tourism sector. She coordinates the work of a dozen technical standardization committees on topics such as beaches, smart tourist destinations, marinas, and accommodations, among others. She serves as the secretary of the international committee ISO/TC 228 Tourism and related services, coordinating the participation of over 100 countries and 15 working groups, as well as the publication of 57 ISO standards for sub-sectors like diving, tourism offices, and health tourism. In parallel, she works on more cross-cutting standards related to accessible tourism and sustainable tourism. Since 2020, she has combined these responsibilities with new roles in the international relations department.
