Yasmin Schinasi

Policy Officer for Regional Cooperation and Maritime Security at the European Commission

Yasmin Schinasi Romeu is a policy officer for Maritime Security and Maritime Regional Cooperation, notably for the Mediterranean Sea, at the European Commission. She has worked for the European Commission since 2018, including her time in the office of the Director General. Prior to that, Yasmin worked for the Foreign and Commonwealth Office in Spain as an external affairs officer, and for the NGO EBCD in Brussels.

Yasmin has a BA in International Relations from Royal Holloway, University of London, and an MA in International Relations and European Studies (on security) from the Central European University.

She speaks native Spanish, English and Catalan and is fluent in Italian and French.
