Tourism Expert - World Tourism Barometer at UN Tourism
Growing spiritually to connect and inspire even more people to regenerate our world: that's why I am on this Earth.
Having discovered my mission nourished me with incredible energy to significantly change my life and career. This is why I moved away from environmental engineering to support indigenous communities towards their regeneration paths.
Integrating scientific and spiritual knowledge, I have been developing and running projects in Africa, South America, and Asia on climate change, sustainable and local tourism, rural development, nature-based solutions, food poverty, climate mitigation and adaptation, organic agriculture, animal welfare, women empowerment, and social entrepreneurship.
Motivated to turn tourism into a force for the global good, I founded Faroo, the first Italian sustainable tour operator that transforms corporate team building in a tool to support touristic businesses and generate a positive impact on the communities. Having organized retreats for Engineering, A2A, Davines, BMS, and many other international companies led me to understand that I was working on leaves, not on roots. A more holistic approach is needed to face the human crisis.
Going deeply into ourselves and reconnecting our souls with nature: that's the only way forward. That's the only path.
This understanding convinced me to pause my startup and look for a more regenerative model to implement.
Committed to nudge people towards sustainability, I am intensely involved in conferences and professional events around the world. Climate change, sustainable tourism, and regenerative solutions are my main topics as a speaker, professor, and consultant. So far, I have had the opportunity to work with international bodies, NGOs, and social businesses like UNWTO, European Commission, Italian Parliament, Emergency, Ashoka, LVIA, ISPI, Jeupo, IULM, and many others.
Lastly, as a GSTC-accredited auditor, I have been auditing, for the major international sustainable tourism standards like Green Globe, Travelife, and Biosphere, more than 150 touristic businesses and local communities all around the world.
