Inmaculada Benito

Director of the Tourism, Culture, and Sports Department at CEOE (Confederación Española de Organizaciones Empresariales)

Inmaculada Benito has served as the Director of Tourism, Culture, and Sports at CEOE since January 2021. Her appointment coincided with the creation of the Tourism, Culture, and Sports department within the organization representing Spanish businesses. Alongside her role as department director, she also serves as Secretary of the CEOE Tourism Council and the Commission for Culture and Sports.

Inmaculada Benito holds qualifications in the General Management Program (PDG) from IESE at the Universidad de Navarra, the Public Affairs Management Program (PDAP) from ICADE at the Universidad Pontificia de Comillas, the Leadership in Complexity Program from Fundación CEDE (ICLD), a Postgraduate in Global Corporate Communication from ESADE, a Master’s in Tourism Management and Planning from the Universidad de las Islas Baleares (UIB), and a Master’s in Hospitality Management from Sheffield Hallam University. She also graduated in Tourism from the Universidad de las Islas Baleares (UIB).

Inmaculada has been linked to the tourism sector throughout her career. From 2017 until her move to CEOE, she was part of the Iberostar Group, where she held the position of Corporate Director of the CEO Office, Communication, and Institutional Relations. Previously, starting in 2002, she was connected to various business organizations in the hotel sector, holding positions such as Secretary General and Manager of the Asociaciones de Playa de Palma (AHPP), Palma (ASHPAMA), and the Agrupación de Cadenas Hoteleras (ACH). In 2010, she joined the Federación Hotelera de Mallorca, where she served as Manager and Vice President, and was elected Executive President in May 2015, a role she held until September 2017.

Between January 2007 and September 2008, she worked in public administration as Manager of the Urban Consortium of Playa de Palma. She began her professional career in academia, where she served as Director of the Tourism Research Laboratory at the Universidad de las Islas Baleares (UIB) and Director of the Leisure and Tourism Department at the Fundación Universidad Empresa.
