Francisco Javier García Vieira

Francisco Javier García Vieira is a Telecommunications Engineer from the Polytechnic University of Madrid and holds a PDD from IESE Business School, University of Navarra. His professional career began in the private sector, with roles at Telefónica Research and Development, Telefónica Móviles, and the technology start-up Banda Ancha S.A. Since 2003, he has worked in the public sector at the public business entity Red.es, where he has held various management positions related to public policies promoting the Information and Knowledge Society.

T02 - Public Investment and the Transformation of Blue Tourism
This roundtable will address the legacy of Next Generation funds in promoting blue tourism, particularly through Tourism Sustainability Plans in Destinations. Two replicable success stories will be presented, along with new financing opportunities such as the €7 million program from Red.es and the EDIL Strategy. The goal is to offer a practical roadmap for scaling sustainable and innovative solutions in tourist destinations.
