Esther Chacón

Head of the Environment and Health Department at AEI (Agencia Estatal de Investigación)

Esther Chacón Campollo is the Head of the Environment and Health Department in the Subdirectorate of Horizontal Programs of Science and Technology at the AEI. She graduated in Physics from the Autonomous University of Madrid in 2002 and completed a Master's in "Renewable Energies, Hydrogen, and Fuel Cells" at the Spanish National Research Council (CSIC) and the Menéndez Pelayo International University (UIMP). She has represented Spain in the International Energy Agency - Hydrogen Committee and has worked in the R&D Coordination Unit of the National Institute of Aerospace Technology (INTA). She has been the Spanish representative in various programs and initiatives under the ERA-NET scheme for scientific project management and is currently the AEI representative in several European Commission partnerships related to Environment and Health, as well as other international bilateral/multilateral research programs in which Spain participates through the AEI. She has research experience in the field of renewable energies and integrated fuel cell/battery systems at the National Institute of Aerospace Technology (INTA).
