Elisabet González
Director of the Technical Office of Tourism at the Diputación de Barcelona
Holds a degree in Political Science and Public Administration. She is currently the Director of the Technical Office of Tourism at the Diputación de Barcelona, from where the territorial tourism strategy for the province of Barcelona is promoted, supporting its 311 municipalities in the design, implementation, and evaluation of tourism policies. Her professional career has always been linked to strategic planning and innovation in public policies, the management of European and NextGeneration projects, and supporting public administrations to improve their positioning at both European and international levels.

T02 - Public Investment and the Transformation of Blue Tourism
This roundtable will address the legacy of Next Generation funds in promoting blue tourism, particularly through Tourism Sustainability Plans in Destinations. Two replicable success stories will be presented, along with new financing opportunities such as the €7 million program from Red.es and the EDIL Strategy. The goal is to offer a practical roadmap for scaling sustainable and innovative solutions in tourist destinations.
