Ignacio Álvarez-Ossorio (Seville, 1959) is an Industrial Engineer from the University of Seville and holds a Law degree from UNED. He also has diplomas in Municipal Engineering (Official College of Industrial Engineers of Andalusia), Business Management (Official Chamber of Commerce of Seville), and Senior Business Management (San Telmo Business School). He currently serves as the General Director of the Public Ports Agency of Andalusia. Over the past nine years, he held the position of General Director of the Port Authority of Huelva (2015-2024), where he was a key figure in the port's growth and in designing its Strategic Plan 2023-2030.

He previously worked at the Public Ports Agency of Andalusia (APPA), bringing over 20 years of experience as Operations Director (1993-1998), Deputy Director (1999-2004), and Director of Logistics and Transport Areas (2004-2015). He was also the first Managing Director of the Andalusian Logistics Network (2010-2015). Additionally, he held various management positions at Tussam (1984-1993).

Finally, he has held notable positions in the European sphere, such as Transport Coordinator for the Intermediterranean Commission of the Conference of Peripheral Maritime Regions of Europe, President of Europlatforms (2014-2015), member of the European Sea Ports Organisation (ESPO), and, more recently, member of the European Forum of the Atlantic Corridor (2016-present).
