The WestMED Blue Economy Initiative, a joint partnership supported by the European Commission under the EMFAF on behalf of DG MARE, will develop a hackathon to help craft tourism project ideas/proposals, build/become part of potential consortia, explore funding opportunities and policy developments.
Participants will gain valuable insights into project development support from the WestMED Assistance Mechanism, learn from success stories of projects previously assisted and explore various funding programs.

- 15:30 – 16:00 – Explanations of the 1-2 project proposals – Mrs. Marta Pascual & Mrs. Stephanie Vella – NH Spain & NH Malta.
- 16:00 – 17:00 – Hands-on work on the project proposals
- 17:00 – 17:15 – Short summary of the proposals to the entire group and next steps.
- 17:15 – 17:30 – Closure of the WestMED Side event – TBC (Ministry of Foreign Affairs, European Union and Cooperation from Spain) / Mrs. Yasmin Schinasi-Romeu (DG MARE)
