Dialogue: Alliance for the Sea

As part of the Sun&Blue Congress, we are pleased to present "Dialogue: Alliance for the Sea" an intimate and focused gathering that will bring together key experts and leaders in the fishing industry to discuss and reflect on how the Blue Economy can be more harmoniously integrated with the realities and challenges of the fishing sector. The dialogue will focus on reconciling sustainable development with the preservation of the fishing sector and its associated cultural heritage, facilitating the transition to an economic model that protects both natural resources and the social fabric of our coastal areas.

Objectives of the meeting:

1. Raising Awareness on the Blue Economy: Explain how this model can and should support the fishing sector in an economically viable way, without losing sight of the cultural and social impact that fishing has in Andalusia.
2. Open and Constructive Dialogue: Foster a space for conversation where fishermen and industry leaders can share their concerns, challenges, and potential solutions within the context of new European regulations.
3. Building Alliances: Work toward an alliance between the traditional fishing industry and innovative Blue Economy proposals, with the aim of creating joint strategies that ensure and promote the future of fishing in the region.
