Agricultural Engineer and Master in Environmental Engineering and Management from the Polytechnic University of Catalonia (UPC). His journey in the environmental sector and waste management began in 1995, over 29 years ago, during which he has held various technical management positions in companies such as BFI (Browning Ferris Industries), Cespa (Suez-AGBAR Group), and Ferrovial Servicios.

Currently, he is the Head of Engineering, Innovation, and Strategic Projects at the Development and Operations Directorate of Prezero Spain and Portugal, where he actively participates in the implementation of new technologies and processes, promoting the circular economy, adopting and adapting Industry 4.0 technologies, and fostering sustainability in the waste treatment sector.

In his position, he is responsible for managing a broad portfolio of projects aimed at transforming waste treatment, providing disruptive solutions applicable to the various business units of Prezero Iberia.

Some of these projects have been distinguished in different editions with awards such as the Energy Awards, granted by the Department of Labor and Industry and the ICAEN (Catalan Institute of Energy), the European Business Awards for the Environment of the EU, or the European Environmental Awards granted by the European Commission in collaboration with the Ministries of Industry and Environment.

Additionally, he participates and has participated in various international associations dedicated to the waste sector, such as the European Recovered Fuel Organisation (ERFO), European Compost Network (ECN), and the Sustainable Landfill Foundation. He has also participated as a speaker at various conferences and events and regularly participates as a professor in different Master's Programs at universities such as UPM, UPC, or UCLM.

After nearly 30 years dedicated to the waste and environmental sector, he continues to live this with passion and wonders if there is anything more exciting than being able to redesign the future, especially in this extraordinary moment that we must face as a society.
