He is a journalist and writer, belongs to the EFE Agency since 1990 and has been a member of the Board of Directors of Radio Television of Andalusia (RTVA) for eleven years.

He directs the Cabinet of the Presidency of the Real Federación Española de Salvamento y Socorrismo, where he coordinates its Management Committee, and is Secretary General of the Federación Latinoamericana de Salvamento y Socorrismo (Latin American Federation of Lifesaving and Lifeguarding).

He is also a member of the Marketing, Financing and Federation Management Commission of the Spanish Olympic Committee (COE) and of the think tank Initiative Cordoba 20-30. 

He is the author of a novel and five essays, these focused on the investigation of environmental issues linked to political management and historical heritage.
